gingersnaps, how the tribe has grown!! i think we had like 40 members back when i left sf in may. I miss you guys but humboldt is great. I got to play my first sunday social last weekend which was dope...its like sunset parties only smaller (they been doing them up here for over 5 years i guess) there's a really dope music and dance community up here...but not a lot of psy. I'm just starting to organize an event for sometime in late march up this way and we're looking to have 2 stages and a chill area outdoor. remember the kids from porcupine pi (the ones who came from arizona in the black van)? Well, they live up here and we hang out a lot...good folks.
So anyway- having the ataraxia crew (all of us) and sound and whichever guests we'd like to invite to play on our system is basically what i got in mind for following through with the organization, promotion and funding for this thing and, of course You'd all have to be down, but all you'd have to do is show up. It does, however, look like we're going to be charging for the event because we want to bring freaky Flow out. AND of course that means that money would be paid to Arwin for sound and travelling expenses. I dunno. we're building a website in the near near future so i wanted to throw it out there to y'all (ALL Y'all) now. I'll resend this messege as an email to the crew. Hope you guys all have a kick-ass halloween...who's going to otherworld tomorrow?? Meat Beat Manifesto!!!! sheyit!! peace out, josh

Sounds like you've got good things in store for the people of Humboldt. Nice work!

As for Otherworld, I'm veeeery tempted, but I think I'm doing the TantraSF thing. It's been a long time since I've gotten my full-on groove on, and I've been yearning for some bangin' psy. Yes, it's cheesy. Yes, it's like the 80's hair metal of trance. And yet, it makes me smile, and at the moment, that's enough for me.

yeah- I'm all about having some art installment, and multi-genre action. that's why I think it'll be nice to have like 5 months to plan and organize (probably throw some fundraisers up this way during the winter). And i haven't got a confirmation on another soundsystem, but what i'd like to see happen is basically bring two or 3 crews together (ours being 1) and have each stage have a day and nights worth of entertainment lined up. If I can get the dgs to get involved then It would look like we might have a solid house and breaks stage as well as a breaks and psy one...but we gotta get some jungle going on somewhere in the mix. i'll keep you updated
