btw, i just thought i'd rant for a moment:
can you fucking believe that the goa gil new years is $95+ at the door?!
i could go on and on...and on. there is so much wrong with that.
i spoke to Gil a couple weeks back and he said that it might have to do with inflated new years prices. i do agree that prices are a bit more inflated in nyc especially on nye, but that's the kinda price you'd see at the blue note, not a psy party. but later on i found out that he charged $6000 to do this party.
this was our inspiration for throwing a semi-free party and keep it REAL.
i think about 100 numbered guest list tickets were given out for free.
and to think, the other night we were offered $1000 to NOT throw the party.
weird and crazy politics. like we're supposed to feel sorry that we can't afford to throw down doe like that and go watch the ball drop instead.
so i'm totally stoked about this party. i wish all of you could make it, but i'm sure that the sf area will have sugar plum fairies dancing in their heads as well.
